Carmen helped us through the arrival, and was helpfull, patient and on time. It made us feel very safe.

Lieu spendide ! Le point fort de cette maison est vraiment son emplacement qui est grandiose : au milieu de la montagne, en hauteur, avec une vue plongeante à 360° sur les montagnes avoisinantes couvertes d'oliviers, des troupeaux de chèvres qui passent non loin de la maison de temps à autre, vraiment magnifique, bien plus que sur les photos ! La maison, quant à elle, est très confortable avec une salle de bains par chambre, belles terrasses avec mobiliers de détente, jeux pour enfants, piscine (sécurisée), cheminée. Tout était très propre. Le seul petit bémol concerne le lave-vaisselle qui ne fonctionne pas bien du tout (obligés de relaver la moitié de la vaisselle à chaque fois). Pour finir, Carmen est un hôte parfait : très accueillante, toujours disponible pour répondre à nos questions, et surtout, beaucoup de gentilles attentions (Bouquets de fleurs fraiches dans toutes les pièces, énorme corbeille de fruits à dispositions, produits locaux généreusement offerts, etc.). Bref, un lieu idyllique ! A recommander les yeux fermés !

English: We had a wonderful stay in Casabermeja. The house is perfect for family reunions and the views are spectacular. Mª Carmen was a great host and we had great interactions with her. We had day trips to Malaga, Nerja and Granada during our stay and used the grill and the wood oven almost every day. Spanish: Fantástica casa, estuvimos una semana maravillosa en familia. Las dos casas son perfectas para pasar tiempo juntos y con suficiente espacio para todos. Los dueños han hecho un trabajo extraordinario en restauración y decoración de este maravilloso lugar, con paisajes impresionantes. Nos sentimos todo el tiempo en casa. Disfrutamos de cada sitio y vistas que ofrecen esta hermosa propiedad. Felicitamos a los dueños por el buen gusto y la maravillosa hospitalidad a nuestra llegada y durante nuestra estadía. Estamos seguros de volver acá en el futuro. Los cuartos son hermosamente decorados y muy cómodos. Las zonas sociales y de jardines son espectaculares. Supermercado muy cerca de la propiedad y logramos explorar desde allí varios pueblos en el sur de España. Ma del Carmen, muchas gracias por la hospitalidad !!!

We had the pleasure of staying almost 3 weeks at this beatiful site - we had a wonderful stay and can reccomend it for every family who seek a Remote location, with great view and facilities. The place demands you to relax and has all the things a family need to have a great vacation. We especially want to point out the great service Carmen provided for us - this is out of the ordinary and was it possible to give more than 5 stars, we had certainly done it.

Carmen was a fantastic host! Upon arrival Carmen and her friend Eva greeted us and showed us around the beautiful property up on the top of the hill. Hand picked flowers from the garden and placed in all the rooms was a very nice touch also! Although quite a long drive up to the house, the views are simply stunning and makes for a very beautiful remote getaway. Clean and fresh, the property was comfortable and relaxing. The local town of Casabermeja is full of welcoming and friendly locals. Our experience was an interesting one as we arrived during a time of a freak storm which made things a bit tricky. But because of Carmen we were able to solve any issues we had and she was so kind to be in contact during the entire stay. We had a big group of people and we demanded a lot from Carmen and she went well and beyond what she needed to in order to make our stay as good as possible. We highly recommend Carmen and wish to return again one day when the sun will shine again! Thank you Carmen for everything!

This place is magical. Yes, there is a gravel road to get up the hill, but still it is doable with fiat 500 or other small rental car. Kitchen is well equipped, additionally you can do BBQ and even bake pizza outside. It is calm but still not far from supermarkets, petrol station, restaurants etc (15-20 min car ride). Even with 10 people it is enough space to find calm places in and around the house. Highly recommended.

As the other people already described the house and its views were fantastic. We as a group of eight people with kids had plenty of room to enjoy our holidays. You get to the location by taking a bumpy road. If you are more interested in beaches, city trips etc. then this house might not be the best for you because of its position on top of the hill. If not, you really gonna enjoy your holidays.

We spent a week here in August, and had a wonderful time. We are are group of ten (8 adults and 2 children). The villa is located in a breathtaking position on top of a hill with unforgettable sunsets every evening. A particular highlight for us was the cooking - with a fantastic bbq, and also outdoor wood oven (great for pizzas and slow roasts). The local butcher in casabermeja was also excellent (Carmen told us about him). Day trips to the Alhambra, Malaga and a waterpark for the kids were very easy from the location. The only thing - the road up to the villa is quite steep to say the least and we were grateful we had hire cars with reasonable engines!!!!

We were extremely happy with the place. There were nine grownups and one baby in a group and a solution with two houses gave us sufficent flexibility around baby's sleeping hours. The views are magnificent and there are plenty of sitting areas around the house to enjoy the sunrise or the sunset. The access is a bit difficult, 2 km uphill driving but we used it for running practice. 🙂

This is an amazing place if you want to get away from the usual tourist experience. It is quite isolated but the house and the views ensure you completely relax. Carmen is a wonderful host. She is caring and helpful but not intrusive. The house is beautiful and has so many different places for eating and chilling that you can find your own space if you want it. Ideal for a big family or a group of friends who want to get away from it all.

What can I say about this holiday. My family are 14 from age’s 1 being the grandchild to age 64 went on holiday to Carmen’s property. The only word that I can describe it would be idyllic. From start to finish Cameron was just excellent. The views were to die for. The property was everything that all the other reviews have said and more. Just perfect. The children and grandchildren and grandparents loved the experience, the pool, the grounds, the house and the Tranquility. Carmen will help you with everything you need from start to finish. Be a little careful with the last 10 minutes of the drive up but other than that there’s plenty more to say but I think I could go on all night if I spoke about the overall brilliant experience. One thing I would say, we hired cars at the airport and our flight was supposed to arrive midday but was changed to arrive at midnight. Carmen arranged a local taxi to meet us at the airport so that we could follow him to the house. Obviously we paid for the service but for the first time to go there we thought it was best not to be trying to find it at night. Money very well spent I would suggest to anyone.. Si vous recherchez un coin de paradis, typique, authentique, niché entre montagnes, avec une vue spectaculaire, arretez votre choix ici!!! La villa est plus que parfaite, avec décorations typique d'andalousie, possèdant un charme indéniable et est remplie d'histoire. Le chemin vers la villa a lui seul vous convaincra; une route sinueuse en hauteur de 2km vous mènera vers ce domaine privé avec aucun voisin a proximité, situé entre arbres fruitiers, oliviers, amandiers et vignes. Le plaisir que nous avons eu a 10 adultes et 2 enfants de profiter de cet endroit, de la pisicine et du domaine est gravé dans nos mémoires. Le plus bel Airbnb que nous ayons fait!

Great house in the mountains. The house is even better than the pictures an very originally decorated. All modern facilties an Carmen is a great host. We stayed as a family with 3 generations with 5 adults and 4 children. The 2 houses are build together and offers both space and privacy. The pool area is great with shadow and stunning views. From the first communcation tll we left Carmen helped with questions and very quickly changed a broken fridge. The house is located at the end of a 2 km steep non-paved road but that only helped to feel very private. I had rented a road bike an had some great trips in the sorroundig mountains. Steep but beatiful.

We stayed at Lagar Los Pilones for a week in July with 10 family members (2 kids and 1 baby included) and had the BEST time. It was a magical vacation where we had plenty of space and privacy in the heart of southern Spain. Easy access to Malaga, Granada, Costa del Sol. We went scuba diving, saw the Alhambra and a flamenco show, enjoyed great shopping in Malaga and wish we had 1-2 more weeks to do everything on our wish list. Above all, Carmen was the BEST host. Gave great recommendations, even lined up a professional photographer so we could do a family photo shoot in the beautiful grounds. If we were to come again, we might choose spring or fall so it’s not as hot. But the pool water stayed cool the whole week and we lounged in the water to cool off often. We also had Paqui the chef to bring 2 private meals to the house and that was a treat. You must speak Spanish or use an online translator to coordinate dishes and times- but she was very affordable, made amazing food, and service.

We 11 friends have stayed in Carmen place for one week, We have enjoyed our stay , it was great that every room has separete bathroom, we had two houses so every one get the place. We enjoyed the spanish style house, and we have spend time every day in pool. One dinner we ordered home made dinner that pagui made it, really good paella. Even She helped us to buy birthday cake. We had a issue with water for some hours, but carmen helped us quickly. If you are fine with staying far from the city and living in mountain it is a good place for vacation. You have 10 minutes driving in mountain to the nearset access for shopinng, throw away trash. But it worked for us . We had three cars that shared the shopping. Carmen was a wonderful host, and her family's property in Spain is beautiful. You should know that to get to the villa, you drive for about 10 minutes up a mountain on a gravel road. Its a bit of an adventure, but that was part of what we loved about it. Once you get there you are staying in a historical villa in the mountains. It has modern amenities like AC and a pool, but the feel is rustic and authentic. It was very comfortable for two families of 4. The kids loved it as much as the adults. Takes about 30 minutes to drive to Malaga. A great experience.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour en famille (4 générations). Après un précédent séjour en Andalousie nous voulions compléter avec la découverte de Malaga (expositions, musée, ville) mais en ayant un point de repli au calme avec piscine sécurisée ( enfant de 3 ans). La maison de Carmen fut idéale : à 30 minutes du centre et au calme absolu ( pas d’embouteillages fin juillet). Le lieu est unique (ancien lagar) et l’atmosphère typique et relaxante. Outre la beauté des lieux, nous avons apprécié les touches d’attention de Carmen : bouquets de fleurs fraîches dans les chambres et salons, réponses rapides, accueil chaleureux...Les chambres sont spacieuses, confortables (literie) et bien équipées (climatiseur, salle de bain avec baignoire et douche...). Tout était très propre et impeccable. De nombreux points à l’extérieur (tables canapés) pour profiter de vues et coucher de soleil magnifiques. Pour mériter tout cela il faut prendre une voie privée qui serpente en lacets jusqu’à la maison ( ou l’on croise un berger avec ses chèvres). La maison est proche de Casabermeja ou l’on a pu profiter de bon tapas à petits prix et où sont les commerces pour se ravitailler. Bref une très jolie maison avec une atmosphère typique et unique. Toute la famille a apprécié. À noter la proximité D’El torcal site magnifique et Antequera. Nous avons aussi passé une journée à la mer à Cabo Pino (a 1 heure) plage encore sauvage (rare dans le coin ! dunes en arrière plan) avec du bon sable et des vagues (plage pas trop bondée pour une fin juillet).

This is a place far beyond expectations. Incredibly beautifully located, a completely unique house. Great social spaces, yes what more can you ask for. Nydelig, autentisk hus på «fjellet»! Fantastiske solopp- og nedganger, og et utvalg av forskjellige uteplasser hvor man kan nyte både sol og skygge fra morgen til kveld. Bassengområdet var og veldig bra. Perfekt for små barn, huset er utstyrt med babyseng, stol, masse uteleker, trampoline og lekeslott. Veien opp til huset er humpete og bratt, men det gikk helt fint å kjøre med vanlig bil. Det eneste «negative» var at det var et stykke til butikk (15min med bil). Men en fredelig plass hvor man virkelig får slappet av!
