English: We had a wonderful stay in Casabermeja. The house is perfect for family reunions and the views are spectacular. Mª Carmen was a great host and we had great interactions with her. We had day trips to Malaga, Nerja and Granada during our stay and used the grill and the wood oven almost every day. Spanish: Fantástica casa, estuvimos una semana maravillosa en familia. Las dos casas son perfectas para pasar tiempo juntos y con suficiente espacio para todos. Los dueños han hecho un trabajo extraordinario en restauración y decoración de este maravilloso lugar, con paisajes impresionantes. Nos sentimos todo el tiempo en casa. Disfrutamos de cada sitio y vistas que ofrecen esta hermosa propiedad. Felicitamos a los dueños por el buen gusto y la maravillosa hospitalidad a nuestra llegada y durante nuestra estadía. Estamos seguros de volver acá en el futuro. Los cuartos son hermosamente decorados y muy cómodos. Las zonas sociales y de jardines son espectaculares. Carmen was a wonderful host, and her family's property in Spain is beautiful. You should know that to get to the villa, you drive for about 10 minutes up a mountain on a gravel road. Its a bit of an adventure, but that was part of what we loved about it. Once you get there you are staying in a historical villa in the mountains. It has modern amenities like AC and a pool, but the feel is rustic and authentic. It was very comfortable for two families of 4. The kids loved it as much as the adults. Takes about 30 minutes to drive to Malaga. A great experience.

Had an amazing stay. The house is on a secluded hilltop but close to amenities and an easy drive to the coast. It's beautiful and well kept. Carmen is an amazing host and you cam see she loves the house

Amazing place and host! Our whole familiy really enjoyed our stay. Carmen gave us great local tips and was very hospitable. We even had a big basket of oranges and Andalusian cookies when we arrived. The rustic feel was great and cosy. The rooms were beautifully furnished. The views from the villa are breathtaking! A few small things we see that could be improved are the matresses (the beds are quite hard and not so comfortable to our taste) and the kitchen tools (no toaster, pots and pans should be replaced). We had the entire house for 5 nights for our group of 12 adults and 3 infants. We housed 2 of the adults on a sofa and trundle bed. We arrived in the wee hours of the morning, and Carmen was kind enough to source some breakfast foods for us so that we would not need to get up so early in the morning. This was a big help! The pictures online do give a beautiful view of the character of the property, but we were not prepared for the amazing views all around the house, and for the multitude of delightful outdoor spaces. We came in early June, and the weather was pleasantly cool at night and warm/hot during the day. Throughout our stay we left doors open to allow breezes to flow through the house. This became a problem only when we did some cooking- you need to keep the doors shut when cooking, or it will attract flies. The kitchen is well equipped for a smaller group, but for 15 was a bit of a challenge. We found enough glasses by getting some from the smaller kitchen next door. We used the outdoor wood grill one evening. 2 evenings, we had dinner prepared by Paqui and Fabbio, and we highly recommend them for meals- it was fabulous! The drive on the dirt road up the mountain was an adventure in the dark the first night, but was well worth the effort and time, to gain the beautiful views of the countryside. Our family hiked at El Torcal national park one of our days, which we highly recommend, and we went to the downtown Malaga market in the morning- loads of fun. All in all, a first-rate, first-class property, and we highly recommend it.

The house used to be a winery which means there are lots of features that are kept from its past. However the property is very modern and well equipped in terms of mod cons while absolutely stunning inside and outside. Everything we could think of was there and Carmen was great in answering any questions and looking after us when we arrived. There are lots of seating areas inside and outside the house, we cooked lovely dinners but could also go to Casabermeja, the local town to dine out. The bathrooms are beautiful and super clean, so is the whole house, we had no complaints at all about anything. You do need a car to drive up to the house as it is on a top of a hill with a steep drive but it is a short drive to Malaga or to the airport form the property. Carmen is lovely and very attentive and the property is amazing, we would all highly recommend the house and her! Thank you so so much, we had a lovely time!

We spent a week here in August, and had a wonderful time. We are are group of ten (8 adults and 2 children). The villa is located in a breathtaking position on top of a hill with unforgettable sunsets every evening. A particular highlight for us was the cooking - with a fantastic bbq, and also outdoor wood oven (great for pizzas and slow roasts). The local butcher in casabermeja was also excellent (Carmen told us about him). Day trips to the Alhambra, Malaga and a waterpark for the kids were very easy from the location. The only thing - the road up to the villa is quite steep to say the least and we were grateful we had hire cars with reasonable engines!!!!

As the other people already described the house and its views were fantastic. We as a group of eight people with kids had plenty of room to enjoy our holidays. You get to the location by taking a bumpy road. If you are more interested in beaches, city trips etc. then this house might not be the best for you because of its position on top of the hill. If not, you really gonna enjoy your holidays.

Two beautiful houses in an amazing setting - the views are stunning. Spacious and warm, perfect for 10 of us to spend a lovely family Christmas. Mari Carmen was really helpful and informative. We can highly recommend for families or groups - close to Malaga and lots of other great places to visit like El Torcal and Antequera. We had a great time!

Great experience

We were extremely happy with the place. There were nine grownups and one baby in a group and a solution with two houses gave us sufficent flexibility around baby's sleeping hours. The views are magnificent and there are plenty of sitting areas around the house to enjoy the sunrise or the sunset. The access is a bit difficult, 2 km uphill driving but we used it for running practice. 🙂

Huset er et vidunderligt hus på toppen af en smuk, smuk bakke i højderne omkring Malaga. Vi og vores familie havde et skønt ophold, hvor vi nød både hus, udsigt og området omkring huset - ikke mindst gåturene på det utrolige område og besøgene til hulemalerierne (!). Vi savner allerede huset, luften og selvfølgelig at være omgivet af vores store familie i de trygge omgivelser - vi ønsker os allerede tilbage til huset ved Casabermeja.

This villa was even better than we had hoped. It was beautiful, stylish, comfortable and clean. The views are exceptional and the choice of terraces and patios meant that there was always the perfect spot to linger and lounge around, no matter the time of day. The fantastic Pizza Oven and brick built BBQ were an unexpected bonus, and we made great use of them. Cooking every night and just enjoying the setting and the views. Carmen is an excellent host. Very welcoming and she even brought us some local goats cheese when she saw how much we liked to eat. It’s the perfect combination of remote but accessible and rustic with all modern conveniences - instant hot water, efficient air con and super fast wifi. We would go back there tomorrow!

Wonderful place, very quiet and relax. We stayed here with the whole family (8 adults and 2 kids). The road to the house is steep, but good to reach by car. The house has a lot of beautiful old characteristic features. It is located on a hill overlooking the beautiful scenery. The house is separated in two houses and offers five (two person) bedrooms, all with their own bathroom with a bath. Is was very tidy and clean. The outside of the house provides a large garden with swimming pool. The pool is clean, and provides 6 beds for sunbathing. There is a trampoline for the kids in the garden. There are about 9 places around the house where they have some nice areas to sit. Next to the house, there is a large dining table outside. On the other side of the house is a BBQ and an outside pizza oven. Carmen showed us the way to the house and explained everything (in Spanish). She was kind and helpful and stayed in contact during the week through whatsapp. We really enjoyed our stay in this lovely house.

Thank you for a wonderful stay! I would recommend this place in an instant. We spent easter here, a family of three generations, and it was beyond our expectations. WOOW was the first thing we said as we walked into the property. The pictures are beautiful, but it is even more magnificent in real life. The scenery, the house, the sunset, the view, the pool, the beautiful and well-kept interior… And Carmen was such a pleasant and caring host. Notre séjour chez Ma Carmen a surpassé toutes nos attentes. La vue de la maison est à couper le souffle. Les odeurs de chèvre-feuille, anneth et de fleurs abondent le domicile. Nous avons séjourner une semaine en groupe de 8 et ce fut tout simplement magique. Ma Carmen est très réactive à nos demandes et fait des pieds et des mains pour que nous puissions passer des vacances parfaites. Merci pour tout!

The views from this place are just breathtaking. It's a 10-minute drive up a dirt road from the main street, which at first seems daunting, but you get used to it. We were three families with 6 adults and 6 children. The kids (ages 8 and up) all stayed in one side of the house and the adults in the other, which was very nice for the adults. Two of the kids' beds though were in the living room, so they usually woke up as soon as others in the house woke up. You need a car, but it is conveniently located to reach some interesting places. Besides Malaga we went to Narje, Ronda and Granada. Because it's up in the hills, it's cooler there than other places, which was a welcome respite from the August heat. Carmen is super responsive and helpful.
