Wonderful and spacey house with fantastic views. We were a group of 10 adults and 3 toddlers and there was enough space for all of us. The pool is secured by a lock: as is the parents fear of having your child drowned. You should be aware of quite a few steps in the house: your baby will be a master handling them after some days. Three of the bedrooms are very spacey so you can have a babybed within with no problem. Carmen provided us three babybeds with linens and two high chairs as asked (thanks again!). The garden and terraces are very nice too. We had a lot of stone oven pizzas and barbecue. We also had a wonderful Offroad-experience getting up and down the hill with our Fiat Panda. Carmen is very helpful and answered our questions right away. We had a wonderful time and can recommend the house without hesitation! Thank you Carmen!

Had an amazing stay. The house is on a secluded hilltop but close to amenities and an easy drive to the coast. It's beautiful and well kept. Carmen is an amazing host and you cam see she loves the house

Thank you for a wonderful stay! I would recommend this place in an instant. We spent easter here, a family of three generations, and it was beyond our expectations. WOOW was the first thing we said as we walked into the property. The pictures are beautiful, but it is even more magnificent in real life. The scenery, the house, the sunset, the view, the pool, the beautiful and well-kept interior… And Carmen was such a pleasant and caring host. We had the entire house for 5 nights for our group of 12 adults and 3 infants. We housed 2 of the adults on a sofa and trundle bed. We arrived in the wee hours of the morning, and Carmen was kind enough to source some breakfast foods for us so that we would not need to get up so early in the morning. This was a big help! The pictures online do give a beautiful view of the character of the property, but we were not prepared for the amazing views all around the house, and for the multitude of delightful outdoor spaces. We came in early June, and the weather was pleasantly cool at night and warm/hot during the day. Throughout our stay we left doors open to allow breezes to flow through the house. This became a problem only when we did some cooking- you need to keep the doors shut when cooking, or it will attract flies. The kitchen is well equipped for a smaller group, but for 15 was a bit of a challenge. We found enough glasses by getting some from the smaller kitchen next door. We used the outdoor wood grill one evening. 2 evenings, we had dinner prepared by Paqui and Fabbio, and we highly recommend them for meals- it was fabulous! The drive on the dirt road up the mountain was an adventure in the dark the first night, but was well worth the effort and time, to gain the beautiful views of the countryside. Our family hiked at El Torcal national park one of our days, which we highly recommend, and we went to the downtown Malaga market in the morning- loads of fun. All in all, a first-rate, first-class property, and we highly recommend it.

Carmen was a great host and very helpful in making us feel at home. The cortijo is beautiful and the area very relaxing. We had a wonderful time.

Excellent séjour en famille (10 personnes) maison accueillante avec une âme, panorama exceptionnel.calme repos et quiétude des lieux .Excellent départ pour visiter l'Andalousie ou rester au calme dans ce nid d aigle. Surtout vous apprécierez l'accueil de Mme Carmen, sa gentillesse. N’hésitez surtout pas à lui demander conseil sur le choix d'un jambon ibérico de belota,d'un queso de cabra. MERCI MME CARMEN

What can I say about this holiday. My family are 14 from age’s 1 being the grandchild to age 64 went on holiday to Carmen’s property. The only word that I can describe it would be idyllic. From start to finish Cameron was just excellent. The views were to die for. The property was everything that all the other reviews have said and more. Just perfect. The children and grandchildren and grandparents loved the experience, the pool, the grounds, the house and the Tranquility. Carmen will help you with everything you need from start to finish. Be a little careful with the last 10 minutes of the drive up but other than that there’s plenty more to say but I think I could go on all night if I spoke about the overall brilliant experience. One thing I would say, we hired cars at the airport and our flight was supposed to arrive midday but was changed to arrive at midnight. Carmen arranged a local taxi to meet us at the airport so that we could follow him to the house. Obviously we paid for the service but for the first time to go there we thought it was best not to be trying to find it at night. Money very well spent I would suggest to anyone.. This place is magical. Yes, there is a gravel road to get up the hill, but still it is doable with fiat 500 or other small rental car. Kitchen is well equipped, additionally you can do BBQ and even bake pizza outside. It is calm but still not far from supermarkets, petrol station, restaurants etc (15-20 min car ride). Even with 10 people it is enough space to find calm places in and around the house. Highly recommended.

As the other people already described the house and its views were fantastic. We as a group of eight people with kids had plenty of room to enjoy our holidays. You get to the location by taking a bumpy road. If you are more interested in beaches, city trips etc. then this house might not be the best for you because of its position on top of the hill. If not, you really gonna enjoy your holidays.

Bassengområdet var og veldig bra. Perfekt for små barn, huset er utstyrt med babyseng, stol, masse uteleker, trampoline og lekeslott. Veien opp til huset er humpete og bratt, men det gikk helt fint å kjøre med vanlig bil. Det eneste «negative» var at det var et stykke til butikk (15min med bil). Men en fredelig plass hvor man virkelig får slappet av!

We spent a week here in August, and had a wonderful time. We are are group of ten (8 adults and 2 children). The villa is located in a breathtaking position on top of a hill with unforgettable sunsets every evening. A particular highlight for us was the cooking - with a fantastic bbq, and also outdoor wood oven (great for pizzas and slow roasts). The local butcher in casabermeja was also excellent (Carmen told us about him). Day trips to the Alhambra, Malaga and a waterpark for the kids were very easy from the location. The only thing - the road up to the villa is quite steep to say the least and we were grateful we had hire cars with reasonable engines!!!!

Vi og vores familie havde et skønt ophold, hvor vi nød både hus, udsigt og området omkring huset - ikke mindst gåturene på det utrolige område og besøgene til hulemalerierne (!). Vi savner allerede huset, luften og selvfølgelig at være omgivet af vores store familie i de trygge omgivelser - vi ønsker os allerede tilbage til huset ved Casabermeja.

We absolutely loved staying at Lagar los Pilones. It truly was an incredibly beautiful and breathtaking historical property. It had 360 degree views of the surrounding valleys, mountains and countryside. We brought our four children and their spouses and four grandchildren and we all fit perfectly. The children loved playing on the grounds with the trampoline and playhouse. We all loved sitting in the swing and looking out over the valley at sunset. We enjoyed hiking around the area to visit the ancient caves and paintings. Lagar los Pilones is a good central location for our family to explore Malaga, Marbella, Granada, Ronda, Córdoba, Sevilla or El Caminito del Rey and still make it home to cook dinner, put the children to bed and relax for the evening. Carmen was a wonderful host and very attentive to us. She gave us great suggestions on restaurants and where to shop for food. Casabermeja has the necessities near by such as grocery shopping and restaurants. We were all very pleased with our experience and our only regret was not having another week to spend at Lagar los Pilones. We definitely would recommend it to family and friends and hope to return some day.

Splendid time we had in Carmen's place, and wonderful memories. The villa sat on top of a hill and take a 10 min drive from the bottom to the villa. The place was super clean and the setting and pool was very nicely done. Fully equipped with everything you need. The water was bit cold to use the swimming pool. Carmen was super nice and made everything simple and easy. There is a hiking pathway to the villa but unfortunately it was poorly marked. Supermarkets were 15 min drive from the place. A surprise visitor ( a wolf) comes to the front door every night to get some food, that added a bit of action to the night. Make sure not to forget the keys to the chains at the bottom of the hill when you drive out.

Wij hebben het hier zalig gehad. Lagar los Pilones is werkelijk een schitterend vakantiehuis. Dit is een geweldig huisje: zeer verzorgd interieur, met aandacht ingericht, is schoon en heeft een prachtig uitzicht van 360 graden. De bedden zijn perfect, de badkamers ruim en praktisch, overal zijn horren voor de ramen zodat je heerlijk met de ramen open kunt slapen. Bedden opgemaakt, handdoeken in de badkamers. De ligging is idyllisch, het avontuur begint al met de weg ernaartoe. Laatste 1,5 km over een onverharde bergweg, ondanks dat deze onverhard is, is deze prima te berijden, zelfs met een kleine huurauto! Eenmaal boven weet je niet wat je ziet, wat een huis en wat een uitzicht! De enige wezens in de omgeving waren geiten, een balkende ezel, een kraaiende haan en rondvliegende zwaluwtjes. Het zwembad (veilig omheind voor kinderen) ligt heerlijk in de zon, en het overdekte terras met ligbedden biedt een welkome verkoeling onder de warme Spaanse zon. Het huis ligt in de driehoek Sevilla, Granada, Cordoba, waardoor een uitstekende uitvalbasis voor het ontdekken van Andalusie. Ligt 10 minuten rijden van dorpje(Casabermeja) met verscheidene spaanse restaurantjes. Malaga slechts op 25 min met de auto. Eigenaars zeer vriendelijk: onze aankomst was vertraagd door vertraging vliegtuig, en zij hadden daarom brood, melk, fruit ed voor ons gekocht omdat bij onze aankomst de winkels gesloten waren Een absolute aanrader en we gaan zeker nog eens terug! Lieu spendide ! Le point fort de cette maison est vraiment son emplacement qui est grandiose : au milieu de la montagne, en hauteur, avec une vue plongeante à 360° sur les montagnes avoisinantes couvertes d'oliviers, des troupeaux de chèvres qui passent non loin de la maison de temps à autre, vraiment magnifique, bien plus que sur les photos ! La maison, quant à elle, est très confortable avec une salle de bains par chambre, belles terrasses avec mobiliers de détente, jeux pour enfants, piscine (sécurisée), cheminée. Tout était très propre. Le seul petit bémol concerne le lave-vaisselle qui ne fonctionne pas bien du tout (obligés de relaver la moitié de la vaisselle à chaque fois). Pour finir, Carmen est un hôte parfait : très accueillante, toujours disponible pour répondre à nos questions, et surtout, beaucoup de gentilles attentions (Bouquets de fleurs fraiches dans toutes les pièces, énorme corbeille de fruits à dispositions, produits locaux généreusement offerts, etc.). Bref, un lieu idyllique ! A recommander les yeux fermés !
