Everything was clean and well stocked. Carmen did a great job setting up a cook for us and also arraigned a local driver to take us to Ronda. The drive up the hill is a little daunting at first, but when you get to the top and see the views, it is a small price to pay. I would highly recommend this location for the value and the views!

English: We had a wonderful stay in Casabermeja. The house is perfect for family reunions and the views are spectacular. Mª Carmen was a great host and we had great interactions with her. We had day trips to Malaga, Nerja and Granada during our stay and used the grill and the wood oven almost every day. Spanish: Fantástica casa, estuvimos una semana maravillosa en familia. Las dos casas son perfectas para pasar tiempo juntos y con suficiente espacio para todos. Los dueños han hecho un trabajo extraordinario en restauración y decoración de este maravilloso lugar, con paisajes impresionantes. Nos sentimos todo el tiempo en casa. Disfrutamos de cada sitio y vistas que ofrecen esta hermosa propiedad. Felicitamos a los dueños por el buen gusto y la maravillosa hospitalidad a nuestra llegada y durante nuestra estadía. Estamos seguros de volver acá en el futuro. Los cuartos son hermosamente decorados y muy cómodos. Las zonas sociales y de jardines son espectaculares. As the other people already described the house and its views were fantastic. We as a group of eight people with kids had plenty of room to enjoy our holidays. You get to the location by taking a bumpy road. If you are more interested in beaches, city trips etc. then this house might not be the best for you because of its position on top of the hill. If not, you really gonna enjoy your holidays.

Had an amazing stay. The house is on a secluded hilltop but close to amenities and an easy drive to the coast. It's beautiful and well kept. Carmen is an amazing host and you cam see she loves the house

Lagar los Pilones is an amazing house, as you can see from the pictures. What you can't see from the pictures is the splendor of the property and how it feels to wake up and have a cup of coffee on the patio. Or the experience of cooking your own wood fired oven pizzas for your friends as they hang about drinking wine. It's an exceptional property. You get used to the dirt track which takes about 10 minutes driving; any rental car can handle the road and you learn to minimize your trips to town. The gas station in Casabermeja was actually a very useful thing since the check-in starts Saturday and all the shops are closed Sunday. You can still get wine and bread and anything else you forgot to buy the day before. We would highly recommend this house. Take a week and just spend it with some people you love in an amazing place.

We are a large family, this time travveling with four grown-up kids (and gilfriends, boyfriends and friends). Carmens house was the perfect place as we all had our separate rooms and bathrooms and privacy. The view is breathtaking. It is very good that there is a pool as the house is not close to the sea. However, the house is a reallly good base for seeing Andalusia. You need one or several cars as is it quite isolated. We enjoyed our stay and the house was clean and well equipped. Carmen was helpful and friendly. I would recommend staying at Carmens place to my friends and family.

We had a lovely time at the house on the hill! It was easy to have a group of people stay as there is lots of outdoor and indoor space for people to have their own space. Considering the time of year it was wonderful that they provided us with wood for an indoor fire and also the bbq. When we arrived there were flowers in all of the rooms which was a thoughtful touch that went along with the nicely appointed house. There was nothing that we needed that wasn't provided. I would love to go back !

Carmen was a wonderful host, and her family's property in Spain is beautiful. You should know that to get to the villa, you drive for about 10 minutes up a mountain on a gravel road. Its a bit of an adventure, but that was part of what we loved about it. Once you get there you are staying in a historical villa in the mountains. It has modern amenities like AC and a pool, but the feel is rustic and authentic. It was very comfortable for two families of 4. The kids loved it as much as the adults. Takes about 30 minutes to drive to Malaga. A great experience.

We were extremely happy with the place. There were nine grownups and one baby in a group and a solution with two houses gave us sufficent flexibility around baby's sleeping hours. The views are magnificent and there are plenty of sitting areas around the house to enjoy the sunrise or the sunset. The access is a bit difficult, 2 km uphill driving but we used it for running practice. 🙂

Beautiful place , breath taking views.Easy acess to points of interest. Grocery store and butcher store. Not far to the beach . Toys for children .

Amazing place and host! Our whole familiy really enjoyed our stay. Carmen gave us great local tips and was very hospitable. We even had a big basket of oranges and Andalusian cookies when we arrived. The rustic feel was great and cosy. The rooms were beautifully furnished. The views from the villa are breathtaking! A few small things we see that could be improved are the matresses (the beds are quite hard and not so comfortable to our taste) and the kitchen tools (no toaster, pots and pans should be replaced). Thank you for a wonderful stay! I would recommend this place in an instant. We spent easter here, a family of three generations, and it was beyond our expectations. WOOW was the first thing we said as we walked into the property. The pictures are beautiful, but it is even more magnificent in real life. The scenery, the house, the sunset, the view, the pool, the beautiful and well-kept interior… And Carmen was such a pleasant and caring host. We fell in love with this place and want to return, again and again. xx Christina

Awesome and peaceful location, large and comfortable house, keep in mind the winding path over last 2-3 km requiring good ground clearance on your car (no need for 4 wheel drive car although better). Outstanding customer orientation from Mrs Carmen. Highly recommended.

This is a place far beyond expectations. Incredibly beautifully located, a completely unique house. Great social spaces, yes what more can you ask for. Huset er et vidunderligt hus på toppen af en smuk, smuk bakke i højderne omkring Malaga. Vi og vores familie havde et skønt ophold, hvor vi nød både hus, udsigt og området omkring huset - ikke mindst gåturene på det utrolige område og besøgene til hulemalerierne (!). Vi savner allerede huset, luften og selvfølgelig at være omgivet af vores store familie i de trygge omgivelser - vi ønsker os allerede tilbage til huset ved Casabermeja.

We had a fantastic stay at Carmen's house for a week this summer. The house is beautiful, very quite and secluded in the hills with a fantastic swimming pool that was perfect to relax by during the day. Sadly Carmen was away for the week of our stay but her lovely friend Eva was on hand to help us. She met us in the local village to drive us directly to the house and was always available to ask any questions we had. She told us about the best restaurants in the local village, what festivals were taking place and where we could visit during our stay. Some of our friends arrived later or left early and she was happy to organize taxis for them from the airport (even at 4am!) The house itself is very comfortable and beautifully decorated. Carmen had made sure it was extremely clean for when we arrived all the bedrooms were extremely comfortable in both of the houses. There were a number of outside areas where we could eat and the terrace outside is beautiful for evening drinks as the sunsets! As the house is very secluded, there was no worry of being disturbed (or disturbing anyone!) at all on our holiday but it was very easy and quick to head in to Malaga which we did on a couple of occasions. The local village had a lovely butcher and we were able to prepare some delicious meals in the kitchen and have a very memorable birthday supper for one of our friends. We would all highly recommend Carmen to anyone who wants to stay. She and Eva were fantastic hosts who made our holiday extra special. Thank you so much!
