The house is comfortable and my family and I enjoyed our stay. Carmen is very responsive and offered great tips and ideas for our stay in the area. The drive up the hills to the house is the only draw back; the dirt road is very steep and narrow on a cliff without railings or lights (which may be common for a farmhouse in the area).

Wonderful house with a great view and so many plaves to chill around the house. Perfect for a large group. Carmen is very kind and welcomes you perfectly.

We had the entire house for 5 nights for our group of 12 adults and 3 infants. We housed 2 of the adults on a sofa and trundle bed. We arrived in the wee hours of the morning, and Carmen was kind enough to source some breakfast foods for us so that we would not need to get up so early in the morning. This was a big help! The pictures online do give a beautiful view of the character of the property, but we were not prepared for the amazing views all around the house, and for the multitude of delightful outdoor spaces. We came in early June, and the weather was pleasantly cool at night and warm/hot during the day. Throughout our stay we left doors open to allow breezes to flow through the house. This became a problem only when we did some cooking- you need to keep the doors shut when cooking, or it will attract flies. The kitchen is well equipped for a smaller group, but for 15 was a bit of a challenge. We found enough glasses by getting some from the smaller kitchen next door. We used the outdoor wood grill one evening. 2 evenings, we had dinner prepared by Paqui and Fabbio, and we highly recommend them for meals- it was fabulous! The drive on the dirt road up the mountain was an adventure in the dark the first night, but was well worth the effort and time, to gain the beautiful views of the countryside. Our family hiked at El Torcal national park one of our days, which we highly recommend, and we went to the downtown Malaga market in the morning- loads of fun. All in all, a first-rate, first-class property, and we highly recommend it.

What you can't see from the pictures is the splendor of the property and how it feels to wake up and have a cup of coffee on the patio. Or the experience of cooking your own wood fired oven pizzas for your friends as they hang about drinking wine. It's an exceptional property. You get used to the dirt track which takes about 10 minutes driving; any rental car can handle the road and you learn to minimize your trips to town. The gas station in Casabermeja was actually a very useful thing since the check-in starts Saturday and all the shops are closed Sunday. You can still get wine and bread and anything else you forgot to buy the day before. We would highly recommend this house. Take a week and just spend it with some people you love in an amazing place.

What can I say about this holiday. My family are 14 from age’s 1 being the grandchild to age 64 went on holiday to Carmen’s property. The only word that I can describe it would be idyllic. From start to finish Cameron was just excellent. The views were to die for. The property was everything that all the other reviews have said and more. Just perfect. The children and grandchildren and grandparents loved the experience, the pool, the grounds, the house and the Tranquility. Carmen will help you with everything you need from start to finish. Be a little careful with the last 10 minutes of the drive up but other than that there’s plenty more to say but I think I could go on all night if I spoke about the overall brilliant experience. One thing I would say, we hired cars at the airport and our flight was supposed to arrive midday but was changed to arrive at midnight. Carmen arranged a local taxi to meet us at the airport so that we could follow him to the house. Obviously we paid for the service but for the first time to go there we thought it was best not to be trying to find it at night. Money very well spent I would suggest to anyone.. Carmen was a wonderful host, and her family's property in Spain is beautiful. You should know that to get to the villa, you drive for about 10 minutes up a mountain on a gravel road. Its a bit of an adventure, but that was part of what we loved about it. Once you get there you are staying in a historical villa in the mountains. It has modern amenities like AC and a pool, but the feel is rustic and authentic. It was very comfortable for two families of 4. The kids loved it as much as the adults. Takes about 30 minutes to drive to Malaga. A great experience.

As the other people already described the house and its views were fantastic. We as a group of eight people with kids had plenty of room to enjoy our holidays. You get to the location by taking a bumpy road. If you are more interested in beaches, city trips etc. then this house might not be the best for you because of its position on top of the hill. If not, you really gonna enjoy your holidays.

We made a three generation family tour to Carmen Place, and we all had a great time in peacefull, beatyfull and privat sourandings. Everything was just above our expectations. We hope to come back some day. This is the Place for good memories.

We had a really nice time in Carmen’s house! The rooms and bathrooms were great, and also the view was absolutely stunning. What we initially didn’t know was that you have to ride up the mountain on a pretty sandy road for ±10 minutes. You must have a car to reach the house. We didn't know this in advance, luckily we did have a car, but it might be good to mention it here. Also the communication with Carmen was really good! We would definitely recommend this house 🙂

Beautiful house in a gorgeous setting. View is amazing with peace and quiet, only nature, the mountains and the stars at night. The house used to be a winery which means there are lots of features that are kept from its past. However the property is very modern and well equipped in terms of mod cons while absolutely stunning inside and outside. Everything we could think of was there and Carmen was great in answering any questions and looking after us when we arrived. There are lots of seating areas inside and outside the house, we cooked lovely dinners but could also go to Casabermeja, the local town to dine out. The bathrooms are beautiful and super clean, so is the whole house, we had no complaints at all about anything. You do need a car to drive up to the house as it is on a top of a hill with a steep drive but it is a short drive to Malaga or to the airport form the property. Carmen is lovely and very attentive and the property is amazing, we would all highly recommend the house and her! Thank you so so much, we had a lovely time!

We had day trips to Malaga, Nerja and Granada during our stay and used the grill and the wood oven almost every day. Spanish: Fantástica casa, estuvimos una semana maravillosa en familia. Las dos casas son perfectas para pasar tiempo juntos y con suficiente espacio para todos. Los dueños han hecho un trabajo extraordinario en restauración y decoración de este maravilloso lugar, con paisajes impresionantes. Nos sentimos todo el tiempo en casa. Disfrutamos de cada sitio y vistas que ofrecen esta hermosa propiedad. Felicitamos a los dueños por el buen gusto y la maravillosa hospitalidad a nuestra llegada y durante nuestra estadía. Estamos seguros de volver acá en el futuro. Los cuartos son hermosamente decorados y muy cómodos. Las zonas sociales y de jardines son espectaculares. Vi boede 10 mand, 3 generationer i dette hus i påsken som startede temmelig kold. Huset er fantastisk, og lever helt op til beskrivelserne. Det er indrettet smagfuldt og med kvalitets udstyr. Omgivelserne er ubeskrivelig smukke, terrasserne, som der er mange af, er smukt beplantet og giver mulighed for alle slags ophold. Der er tænkt på mange detaljer( vaskepulver, legetøj,køkkengrej, brænde mm) Der er centralvarme, men de første dage var vi afhængig af pejserne for at varme huset op. Vi benyttede Carmens kokke til en festmiddag: det fungerede perfekt, maden var særdeles velsmagende og prisen var billig. Alle 3 generationer har nydt opholdet med både plads fællesskab og privatliv.

La villa est plus que parfaite, avec décorations typique d'andalousie, possèdant un charme indéniable et est remplie d'histoire. Le chemin vers la villa a lui seul vous convaincra; une route sinueuse en hauteur de 2km vous mènera vers ce domaine privé avec aucun voisin a proximité, situé entre arbres fruitiers, oliviers, amandiers et vignes. Le plaisir que nous avons eu a 10 adultes et 2 enfants de profiter de cet endroit, de la pisicine et du domaine est gravé dans nos mémoires. Le plus bel Airbnb que nous ayons fait!
