Lieu spendide ! Le point fort de cette maison est vraiment son emplacement qui est grandiose : au milieu de la montagne, en hauteur, avec une vue plongeante à 360° sur les montagnes avoisinantes couvertes d'oliviers, des troupeaux de chèvres qui passent non loin de la maison de temps à autre, vraiment magnifique, bien plus que sur les photos ! La maison, quant à elle, est très confortable avec une salle de bains par chambre, belles terrasses avec mobiliers de détente, jeux pour enfants, piscine (sécurisée), cheminée. Tout était très propre. Le seul petit bémol concerne le lave-vaisselle qui ne fonctionne pas bien du tout (obligés de relaver la moitié de la vaisselle à chaque fois). Pour finir, Carmen est un hôte parfait : très accueillante, toujours disponible pour répondre à nos questions, et surtout, beaucoup de gentilles attentions (Bouquets de fleurs fraiches dans toutes les pièces, énorme corbeille de fruits à dispositions, produits locaux généreusement offerts, etc.). Bref, un lieu idyllique ! A recommander les yeux fermés !

We had a really nice time in Carmen’s house! The rooms and bathrooms were great, and also the view was absolutely stunning. What we initially didn’t know was that you have to ride up the mountain on a pretty sandy road for ±10 minutes. You must have a car to reach the house. We didn't know this in advance, luckily we did have a car, but it might be good to mention it here. Also the communication with Carmen was really good! We would definitely recommend this house 🙂

Wonderful house with a great view and so many plaves to chill around the house. Perfect for a large group. Carmen is very kind and welcomes you perfectly.

Carmen was a great host and very helpful in making us feel at home. The cortijo is beautiful and the area very relaxing. We had a wonderful time.

Great house in the mountains. The house is even better than the pictures an very originally decorated. All modern facilties an Carmen is a great host. We stayed as a family with 3 generations with 5 adults and 4 children. The 2 houses are build together and offers both space and privacy. The pool area is great with shadow and stunning views. From the first communcation tll we left Carmen helped with questions and very quickly changed a broken fridge. The house is located at the end of a 2 km steep non-paved road but that only helped to feel very private. I had rented a road bike an had some great trips in the sorroundig mountains. Steep but beatiful.

Two beautiful houses in an amazing setting - the views are stunning. Spacious and warm, perfect for 10 of us to spend a lovely family Christmas. Mari Carmen was really helpful and informative. We can highly recommend for families or groups - close to Malaga and lots of other great places to visit like El Torcal and Antequera. We had a great time!

Carmen was easy to deal with, and met us locally so she could show us the house. And what a house too - an amazing location right on top of the mountains, with views all around. Total peace and quiet and darkness, the perfect place to relax. A beautiful old converted winery, with many features retained. Loads of places to sit outside. the pool was smaller than it looked, fine for a dip to cool off. Luckily we had hired a 4 x 4, the road up is quite steep and spectacular indeed, but the views amazing.

Carmen's villa was amazing. The property and views were simply outstanding. There are lots of different outdoors areas and terraces so everyone can have their own space. The kitchen was well stocked so cooking for a large group was easy. The ensuite bathrooms are very nice when travelling with friends and couples. We kept the fireplace going every night. The drive up to the property is easier in a more robust car/SUV. We really enjoyed the local herder with his sheep and goats! We would love to come back in the Spring/Summer so that we can enjoy the pool. Carmen was very friendly and available when we needed her.

We 11 friends have stayed in Carmen place for one week, We have enjoyed our stay , it was great that every room has separete bathroom, we had two houses so every one get the place. We enjoyed the spanish style house, and we have spend time every day in pool. One dinner we ordered home made dinner that pagui made it, really good paella. Even She helped us to buy birthday cake. We had a issue with water for some hours, but carmen helped us quickly. If you are fine with staying far from the city and living in mountain it is a good place for vacation. You have 10 minutes driving in mountain to the nearset access for shopinng, throw away trash. But it worked for us . We had three cars that shared the shopping. We LOVED our stay @ Carmens Villa! The views are unreal & go on n on for miles! It's away from everything, but only about 7-10 minute drive to the market, gas, butcher & the local Pueblo there in town, & about a 30-45 minute drive to all the amazing beaches in the area! Carmen met us in town & showed us the market, & waited for us to pick up a few things (although she had a few things there for us already too:) & then had us follow her up to the villa, which was great since it'd be a bit tricky to find on our own. Carmen had fresh flowers that smelled SO sweet in each of the bedrooms, showed us all that we needed to know & gave us a brief history on her familys renovated winery (so cool:) The wifi was way fast! & we always had hot water for our showers, which was great! The beds, linens & towels were first class, & the furnishing & decor were true to the style of home. One of the best rooms in the villa is the covered pergola full of grapevines, it was so nice eating outside & enjoying the views & the breeze (it gets chilly @ night) Carmen also has several cozy nooks through out the property, each w/a different view of the countryside, it was so fun finding them & relaxing for a bit. I can't say enough good about staying here & about the hostess, she was wonderful & so was our stay!

We had the pleasure of staying almost 3 weeks at this beatiful site - we had a wonderful stay and can reccomend it for every family who seek a Remote location, with great view and facilities. The place demands you to relax and has all the things a family need to have a great vacation. We especially want to point out the great service Carmen provided for us - this is out of the ordinary and was it possible to give more than 5 stars, we had certainly done it.

Carmen was a fantastic host! Upon arrival Carmen and her friend Eva greeted us and showed us around the beautiful property up on the top of the hill. Hand picked flowers from the garden and placed in all the rooms was a very nice touch also! Although quite a long drive up to the house, the views are simply stunning and makes for a very beautiful remote getaway. Clean and fresh, the property was comfortable and relaxing. The local town of Casabermeja is full of welcoming and friendly locals. Our experience was an interesting one as we arrived during a time of a freak storm which made things a bit tricky. But because of Carmen we were able to solve any issues we had and she was so kind to be in contact during the entire stay. We had a big group of people and we demanded a lot from Carmen and she went well and beyond what she needed to in order to make our stay as good as possible. We highly recommend Carmen and wish to return again one day when the sun will shine again! Thank you Carmen for everything!

Wonderful and spacey house with fantastic views. We were a group of 10 adults and 3 toddlers and there was enough space for all of us. The pool is secured by a lock: as is the parents fear of having your child drowned. You should be aware of quite a few steps in the house: your baby will be a master handling them after some days. Three of the bedrooms are very spacey so you can have a babybed within with no problem. Carmen provided us three babybeds with linens and two high chairs as asked (thanks again!). The garden and terraces are very nice too. We had a lot of stone oven pizzas and barbecue. We also had a wonderful Offroad-experience getting up and down the hill with our Fiat Panda. Carmen is very helpful and answered our questions right away. We had a wonderful time and can recommend the house without hesitation! Thank you Carmen!

Thank you for a wonderful stay! I would recommend this place in an instant. We spent easter here, a family of three generations, and it was beyond our expectations. WOOW was the first thing we said as we walked into the property. The pictures are beautiful, but it is even more magnificent in real life. The scenery, the house, the sunset, the view, the pool, the beautiful and well-kept interior… And Carmen was such a pleasant and caring host. We fell in love with this place and want to return, again and again. xx Christina

We stayed at Lagar Los Pilones for a week in July with 10 family members (2 kids and 1 baby included) and had the BEST time. It was a magical vacation where we had plenty of space and privacy in the heart of southern Spain. Easy access to Malaga, Granada, Costa del Sol. We went scuba diving, saw the Alhambra and a flamenco show, enjoyed great shopping in Malaga and wish we had 1-2 more weeks to do everything on our wish list. Above all, Carmen was the BEST host. Gave great recommendations, even lined up a professional photographer so we could do a family photo shoot in the beautiful grounds. If we were to come again, we might choose spring or fall so it’s not as hot. But the pool water stayed cool the whole week and we lounged in the water to cool off often. We also had Paqui the chef to bring 2 private meals to the house and that was a treat. You must speak Spanish or use an online translator to coordinate dishes and times- but she was very affordable, made amazing food, and service.
